Synopsis: What is Psychedelic Daffodil?
Was the "Psychedelic 60's" all peace and love or was it normal people just trying to get by in life? Probably a little bit of both. This is the story of young Robert Davis during the "Summer of Love", in 1967 upstate New York. School has just been released and the young lad of fifteen has nothing to fear and everything to look forward to. He has several unplanned, spontaneous adventures linked to the backdrop of Viet Nam, Sexual Revolution, drug culture, and the music changing American values.

In the beginning young Roberts is pondering his summer activities within his tidy, uniform suburban town. An electricity buff, he discovers burgeoning FM radio and other new technology aiding the transition from the analog to digital age. He loosely plans his summer, painting a house, working on his uncle's farm, and hanging out with friends, all under the watchful eye of his his mother and the community.
Chapter 2: "Decadent Acts and the Downfall of Society"
Oh, boys will be boys. Bob and his gang plan to go to just another party, with him to provide the music with his new modified tape recorder. His friends parent's are out of town, providing the perfect setting. The boys however are confronted by his friend's draft dodging brother, and embark on a night of misadventure that will live in infamy, among their circle of friends anyway.
Chapter 3: "Out in the Country"
Young Robert is deposited at his uncle's farm as his parents. For the first time he turns introspective as he takes evening walks through the pristine pastures and woods of the idyllic dairy farm. Along with hilarious mishaps of life on the farm, he also wonders if there is a higher power, and starts to look beyond his petty wants and self interests.
Chapter 4: "When Heavens Align"
Sometimes the greatest things happen when you least expect it. A chance meeting occurs during a routine evening of house painting. Two nubile young maidens on the rebound introduce them to the finer delusions of the counterculture.
Chapter 5: "Lost Children Among the Concrete Bastions of Past Empire"
Bobby meets up with another friend and plans to attend his first rock concert. The plans quickly go awry as the boys weather madcap drivers, lost tickets, and nefarious characters on the way to the show. Follow the boy's zany antics as they try to crash the "Psychedelic Daffodil" after the concert.
Chapter 6: "Electric Dreams in the Quasi Reality"
It's the last weekend of the summer, and it looks to be a pretty uneventful Labor Day at a fishing cottage on a picturesque lake. However, things turn electric as the boys turn on and wonder what actually happened.
Conclusion: "Remembering the Past in Real Time"
Robert, now older reminisces about the summer. He wonders if it was a special time, or if it could have happened anytime.
